Teletorture

I have been collecting quite a few recordings from my telemarketer system. I've been a bit reluctant to post anything after the last experience, however i'm going to post this one for now.
This is a real telemarketer. I got a call from a company called GoTalk trying to sell me free line rental. It was back in 2006 I got the call. Enjoy.

I haven't really been interested in updating my blog lately, I just don't get time. Mostly i've been flying every week and I get to fly a Robinson R44 next week which i'm really looking foward to!
I've finally got around to updating MAMEintosh.com, go check it out. I'm planning on starting a second arcade machine at some stage this year.

2.2 Hours

Today was my 4th flight in the R22! I'm up to a total flying time of 2.2 hours now. Not much but i'm getting there!
Today we flew out towards Prospect and around that area doing turns and flying at various altitudes and speeds. I'm really starting to get the hang of the R22, it's a bit touch and go at times, but otherwise great.
I'm doing another flight next Friday which i'm looking forward to. I've sent off all the paperwork to the government so they can run their background checks on me and whatnot so I can get issued with my students licence.

Today I had the BEST flight. We took a flight from Bankstown to Sydney Harbour, then up through the North Heads and up towards Manly and the northern beaches.
I've started filling out my paperwork to get my students license, my god they want every bit of detail about you! There's 3 separate forms with the first being 7 pages long. I have to go through background checks and all sorta stuff to make sure i'm not crazy or a terrorist.

Today saw my first flight where I was at the controls of an Robinson R22 helicopter. It was a scary feeling to be in control and at the same time a freeing experience.
We took off from Bankstown Airport this morning at about 9:15 and headed out towards the Warragambah Dam (There's not much water in there!). The R22 is a lot smaller than the R44's that I've been in, I felt very cramped to begin with. As there's no air conditioning we took one of the doors off the R22 before we took off, this gave us a nice breeze :)
Next Friday i'll be heading back and we'll take a flight out over Sydney Harbour which i'm really looking forward to!
