It Begins

When I finished the arcade machine I had all sorts of different ideas for what my next little project would be. Again it was Renae that put me onto the idea for my next project. Building a rocket.
My plan is to build a 2 or 3 stage rocket with an inbuilt CCD video camera, altimeter and flight information recorders. After much research and i've found there are several ways to approach the project. Since I haven't really got any previous rocket experience I picked myself up a basic kit today.
The kits themselves are dirt cheap and generally come with everything you need, except the engines. These weren't an issue either I picked myself a setup of 3 - B6-6 engines which should propel my kit to about 250-300ft.
Of course when I saw they had a yellow one, I couldn't resist, it's a pity about the glittery crap in the middle, but hey it's a kit :)
There are several ways that I can approach the video side of things, one of them is through the use of a 2.4Ghz video transmitter and a pre-amp on the ground to boost the signal. The only trouble with that is that i'm looking to get my rocket very very high. Time will tell!

Parking Performance

You know it's a full moon when a bunch of goths decide to hold a "performance" at your local Blockbuster car park that can fit about 10 cars in it. Everybody decided that they were going to stay to watch the show so we couldn't get a park.
On our way home there were hundreds of goths out in the streets. I really wish I knew what the deal was.
Is it just me or is there something weird about a performance being held in a car park??
