Laser me up!

Monday, 6th December 2004 at 5:26PM (1446 days ago)

After much delay it's finally here! The sides and control panel(s) of the machine arrived this afternoon. I was slightly annoyed to start with as they forgot to cut both sides when they rang and said it was ready last week!

Awwww yeah!

It's a solid piece of MDF 12mm thick and precisely laser cut. Beautiful stuff :) The edges are slightly burnt from the laser, but nothing a little sand paper won't fix. I'll be heading up to Nelson Bay on January 14th to put the whole thing together, so in the new year it'll all be done! Finally! It's been almost 12 months i've been working on this thing and finally i'm actually getting somewhere. Can you believe it??

If I believed in a lord to praise I would. About bloody time!

If you look weird at it with your eyes half open, you can see an applauding seal in it. (sorry, to many pseudo art classes in uni)

Mmm... Slopey. I trust, though, that this has been planned with sufficient care so as to ensure that the bloody thing doesn't fall flat on its face! Heh.

If not, you might want to put a few bricks at the bottom to weigh it down. (Don't mind me.)

Yes... take lots of pictures when its done and share it with us. It also would be nice if you did a brief overview of the entire process of the past year.
